It's funny...I run but I don't like it. I've completed two marathons, but don't consider myself a runner. I run because I have to be able to run a certain distance in a certain time for one of my jobs, and if I can run a half marathon I can run a mile and a half. If you do get sucked back in, start with really slow very short runs so that you are never in pain...You may have inspired me to write an artilce like "Running for the chubby guy."
